Mega Man 2.5D!!!

Most people probably cringe at the thought of a Mega Man game in 3D. After all, Mega Man X7 was a prime example of what not to do when making a Mega Man title in the third dimension. But what if it were halfway, ya know, 2.5D? Someone is already making the idea look very promising. I sooooooooo want this and you should too!

A Banner! But Not Just Any Banner!

An amazing banner for an amazing game. (No, I didn't make it). That is all.

Here Comes a New Challenger II Turbo!

I really enjoyed the first Here Comes a New Challenger. It was hilarious and full of much truth in the lyrics. Imagine my surprise when I found out a Turbo edition was already out! I just got done downloading it, but if it's anything like the original, I know I'll love this one. You can download it for free or get yourself a pressed copy via pre-order. Just make sure you get his baby in some shape or form.

Rockman World Sound Collection?

Capcom has put out an audio collection for Rockman 1~6 and Rockman X1~6. So where is our collection for the Game Boy Mega Man games? Not the GBA and DS Network/EXE titles, I mean the old Mega Man I~V/Rockman World titles. To my knowledge one isn't planned and that really is a shame. In my opinon, some of the Game Boy renditions of the tracks from the NES games are superior. The first boss theme for Mega Man IV/Rockman World 4 is loads better than the boss tune used in NES MM4. The Game Boy games also had some great original tracks such as Ballade's theme and Wily Battle, both from MMIV. Though it isn't hard to find mp3s for these games. A quick net search easily turns them up, but I sure wouldn't mind having something official.

We Have a Winner

I've finally decided on a cover for the Rockman Rom Hack Audio Collection. Since all the hacks are based of Mega Man 2, I think this one is very appropriate. I just wish I knew who drew this!

Possible Cover Pt. 2

These are two more images I'm considering for use for the Rockman Rom Hack Audio Collection I'm putting together. The first picture is drawn by Rockman manga artist Hiroshi Ariga. I'm a huge fan of his work. No clue who did the second pitcture but I love it. Again, thoughts?

Don't Call It a Come Back

Everyone and I do mean everyone has played Punch-Out!! (originally titled Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!) and it's sequel, Super Punch-Out!! Or at the least everyone should have. For many gamers, these have been the definitive boxing games, outranking titles that portray the sport realistically.

15 long years have passed since the last Punch-Out!! title. Why there wasn't a showing on the N64 or even the GameCube is anyone's guess. But ultimately, that doesn't matter. What does matter is that Little Mac has finally returned in a game for the Wii simply titled Punch-Out!!
Old favorites return like Glass Joe and King Hippo. Those of you that hate Mr. Sandman (like me), cower in fear because he's back and he's still a jerk.

I haven't played this one yet, but I've heard nothing but great things about it. If your Wii is collecting dust, grab this puppy and let the good times roll.

It's That Time Again!

This is a pretty short album but it's straight and to the point. Video game covers done to gritty rock. Did I mention that it's free?

Konami has released soundtracks for just about every Metal Gear game. All except this one, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. Known in the USA on the Game Boy Color as simply Metal Gear Solid, this is, in my humble opinion, one of the best Metal Gear soundtracks out there and the fact that it never received an official release is criminal. Thanks to some Metal Gear fans, an unofficial soundtrack has surfaced. Before Metal Gear went on to have a Hollywood calibur musical score it was originally the bleeps and blops of every other game soundtrack of the '80s. Of course that doesn't mean it wasn't addicting stuff. Even the very first Metal Gear game has some of the best music ever composed from NES hardware. Ghost Babel is a wonerful reminder of how epic retro Metal Gear music sounds. You won't be disappointed with this one.

It's Fun to Dream

Isn't it? But since Namco, to my knowledge has never released a deluxe type of audio compilation like Capcom and Sega have, we may have to keep on dreaming.

DAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAA

Sega is at it again! As if the OutRun and After Burner music box sets weren't enough to make fans swoon, they've gone and released what is sure to make "King of Speed" lovers (like myself) have multiple geekasims.

Spanning four discs, Let's Go Away Daytona USA Anniversary Box features music from all six Daytona games! That's roughly... well, that's like hours of Daytona audio bliss!

Now I'll admit that Daytona USA music isn't for everybody. The music is on the cheesy side, but it's the best kind of cheesiness there is. I'd give anything to see the look on someone's face driving down the highway when they hear "ROLLING STAAAAAAAAAART" blasting. I'd almost forgotten how much I love the music from this series but it all came flooding back when I listened to this album. I wish Namco would give the Ridge Racer series this treatment.

Possible Cover

I'm back! Yes, I was gone for a while (like 2 months) but all you need to know is that I've returned and I'm back in business.

As the title of this entry suggests this is a possible cover for the Rockman Rom Hack Audio Collection I'm putting together. I know it looks on the bland side of things, but I really dig the image. Of course I know a guy that could probably add more to it or straight up find a more lively image to use. I wonder how many people, if any, would find the white background boring. Thoughts?
