VG Soundtrack of the Day 022: Hyper Zone



This rail shooter was an early SNES title. The game showed off impressive visuals and some sweet SNES mode-7 effects, one of the most highly talked about features for Nintendo's 16-bit baby. Not only was Hyper Zone developed by HAL Laboratories, the soundtrack was scored by none other than Jun Ishikawa, a man that wrote many of the Kirby series' iconic jams. So if you get a distinct Kirby vibe from listening to Hyper Zone, that's why.
