Make Your Own 8-bit Tunes

I love Vixy's revixes and the 8-bit tunes from Mega Man X and X2. You may be wondering "How did such awesome tunage come about?" Simple, really. So simple that anyone can do it. I'd heard about the programed they used to convert MIDI files to NES quality music but I didn't bother to download it because I thought it'd be a chore to use. Well if you know how to use a computer, you'll be able to use this program. It really is that easy.

MIDI to NES Style Music Converter

After you download the program, you'll want to head on over to vgmusic.com to get yourself some MIDIs, or you can simply use the ones I've provided here (Look down below). Open up the program, drag the MIDI file into the progam and be amazed. The program is only in the beta stages, but its still pretty impressive. A few of the options are tweakable and like Vixy and Maverick Hunter Iris, you can turn your tunes into downloadable files to share with the world. Just click on the "Authoring" icon and you'll have a downloaded version of your 8-bit song that's currently in the converter. As already mentioned, I've provided some songs to throw in the converter below. Have fun.
