Invterview with Mega Man Composer Manami Matsumae

What would the Mega Man games be without good music? We'll they'd probably still be pretty good but I highly doubt we'd be saying much about the tunes. From his humble beginnings, Mega Man has always had standout music so it's great to hear some words from Manami Matsumae, AKA Chanchacorin, the lady that composed the score and sound effects for the very first Mega Man game. Koopa Soundworks was fortunate enough to get the chance to interview the lady and it's quite the informative sit down. Did you know she never legitimately finished the original Mega Man? She kept struggling with Guts Man's stage. Ha, surprise, surprise.

Chanchacorin is responsible for Air Man's theme in Mega Man 2, arranged We're the Robots on the Rockman 9 Arrange Soundtrack and she wrote Nitro Man's theme in Mega Man 10 based solely off the the Robot Master's character design. Is this lady talented or what?

She also talks a bit about her work on an upcoming album World 1-2, which a lot of other big name composers are in on. Check out the interview here.
