Game Art #54: Mario & Sonic Gallery
It's been a little over 2 months since Game Art was featured on this blog. Wondering what series I should focus on, I decided to do a combo of Mario & Sonic art. Enjoy.

I'm so glad there are artists out there who understand such a fundamental fact of life: you can't go wrong with an echidna in a hat!
Seriously, though, that art by Shyne puts a smile on my face. It feels like it really captures the (ideal) essence of the franchise. Minor complaint, though: there aren't enough spikes and bottomless pits.
The Sonic the Hedgehog OVA had many flaws, but I loved it's incarnation of Knuckles. His personality and especially that hat.
I'm a sucker for beautiful scenery art so I just had to include Shyne's Sonic & Tails picture. It's really breath-taking.
